HYPE proudly announces the opening of its first store on Penang Island at Queensbay Mall, further extending the brand’s presence in Penang and across Malaysia. Following the opening of its Sunway Carnival Mall location earlier this year, the new Queensbay store becomes HYPE’s second location in Penang, bringing the brand closer to the island’s growing streetwear and creative community.

Located within one of Penang’s key retail destinations, HYPE Queensbay Mall brings together the design language seen across the brand’s retail spaces, combining contemporary streetwear aesthetics with elements of art, music and street culture. The space takes a clean and functional approach, creating an environment where customers can explore HYPE’s collections while experiencing the culture that surrounds the brand.

The new store features HYPE’s core range of apparel and accessories, including unisex silhouettes, everyday essentials and seasonal collections. The selection brings together the different sides of HYPE’s offering in one space, catering to both long-time supporters of the brand and a new generation of customers in Penang.

Art also plays a part in the new store environment, with an exclusive artwork by Malaysian artist Jefr featured within the space. Created with references to Penang’s local character and identity, the artwork adds a distinct visual element to the store while reflecting HYPE’s connection with the local creative scene.

The opening of HYPE Queensbay Mall brings the brand’s retail experience to the island for the first time, following its establishment in Penang earlier this year. Since 2012, HYPE has grown around the intersection of streetwear, music, art and community, with its stores serving as spaces for people to discover, gather and engage with the culture around the brand.
